The vast majority of lameness cases can be solved with the benefit of experience, nerve blocks and good quality X-ray and ultrasound images. Our lameness service is led by Dr Phil Dyson, who has fifteen years experience in diagnosing and managing lame horses. Our aim is to provide an efficient, modern and cost effective service. We have also established an extensive network of specialist contacts who aid us in the most complicated cases.
The approach to a lame horse does not have to be expensive. An initial orthopaedic assessment is charged at our standard examination fee. This examination will provide an idea of how the case should be approached, and further procedures and costs can be discussed at this point.
We are able to offer the most up to date treatments for lameness cases including stem cell therapy and platelet rich plasma.
