Performance / Race Horse Services 

Dr Phil Dyson has a special interest in performance horses, and the competition horse side of our practice has grown considerably in recent years.  Phil’s previous studies provided him with a unique insight into the relationship between training regimens and injuries in racehorses. Phil believes passionately in a preventative approach to injury and is delighted to share his knowledge and opinions with anyone who will listen long enough! Dr Dyson’s further qualifications in equine internal medicine and orthopaedic surgery place him in the ideal position for investigating, treating and advising on causes of poor performance.  We are happy to endoscope horses on your yard, or you can make use of our videoendoscope at Upleatham to see your horse’s throat on the big screen! We use several different recognised specialists to perform upper respiratory tract surgeries at our Upleatham clinic.
